Meet Brandi R. Lantz, DDS, PhD


Dr. Lantz at Mountain State Oral and Facial Surgery Dr. Brandi Lantz is a highly trained oral and maxillofacial surgeon whose background combines advanced surgical education with extensive research in craniofacial development. Her academic achievements, commitment to patient care, and specialized knowledge of the oral and facial structures allow her to approach each patient's treatment with precision and a strong scientific foundation.

Dr. Lantz provides comprehensive oral and maxillofacial surgical care, including dentoalveolar surgery, dental implant placement, bone grafting, facial trauma treatment, oral pathology, and corrective jaw surgery. She is committed to helping patients understand their treatment options and feel comfortable and confident throughout their surgical experience.

Education And Residency


Dr. Lantz earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Marietta College. She continued her education at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, where she earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Oral and Craniofacial Sciences.

She subsequently attended The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Lantz graduated second in her class of 118 students with a 3.94 GPA, reflecting her exceptional academic performance and dedication to the field.

Dr. Lantz completed her oral and maxillofacial surgery training at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta. During residency, she received extensive training in the diagnosis and surgical management of conditions affecting the mouth, jaws, face, and associated structures.

Craniofacial Research


In addition to her clinical training, Dr. Lantz has an extensive research background focused on craniofacial development, facial fusion, and orofacial clefting. Her work has contributed to a greater understanding of how the lip, palate, nose, and other facial structures develop.

Dr. Lantz has authored and contributed to multiple scientific publications and has presented her research at national and international conferences. Her advanced research experience provides her with a distinctive understanding of facial anatomy, development, and reconstruction.

Professional Involvement


Dr. Lantz is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association, and the Association of Women Surgeons.

She also maintains certifications in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
