Meet Kenny Nguyen, DDS Dr. Kenny Nguyen is a highly trained oral and maxillofacial surgeon dedicated to providing exceptional surgical care while prioritizing patient safety and comfort. His comprehensive clinical training includes extensive experience diagnosing and treating conditions affecting the teeth, jaws, face, and surrounding structures. Dr. Nguyen believes that communication is an important part of a patient's surgical experience. He takes the time to explain procedures and treatment recommendations clearly, helping patients feel informed, prepared, and comfortable with their care. Education And ResidencyDr. Nguyen earned his Bachelor of Science and Arts in Biology from The University of Texas at Austin, where he also completed a minor in business. He then attended the Texas A&M University School of Dentistry, earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Following dental school, Dr. Nguyen completed an oral and maxillofacial surgery internship and a four-year oral and maxillofacial surgery residency in Shreveport, Louisiana. During residency, he received extensive training in dentoalveolar surgery, dental implant placement, bone grafting, sinus augmentation, facial trauma, oral pathology, corrective jaw surgery, anesthesia, and the management of surgical complications. Clinical ExpertiseThroughout his residency training, Dr. Nguyen participated in more than 1,000 dentoalveolar surgical procedures. His experience includes wisdom tooth removal, complex tooth extractions, dental implants, bone grafting, sinus lifts, and the treatment of facial injuries. Dr. Nguyen is also experienced in preoperative evaluation, anesthesia and sedation techniques, postoperative care, pain management, and the diagnosis and treatment of infections and other complications. He uses advanced diagnostic imaging, including X-rays and CT and cone-beam imaging, to carefully evaluate each patient and develop an individualized surgical plan.
