Meet Mitchell Magid, DDS Dr. Mitchell Magid is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He practices the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with expertise ranging from corrective jaw surgery to wisdom tooth removal.He can also diagnose and treat facial pain, facial injuries and TMJ disorders and performs a full range of bone grafting and dental implant procedures. Dr. Magid received his dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. He completed residency programs in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA, and in General Anesthesia at the Medical College of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA. Prior to practicing in Lynchburg, VA, Dr. Magid was an oral surgeon at the Colorado Oral Surgery Center in Denver, CO, where he also served as an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Colorado School of Dentistry. He also was an Assistant Professor at Temple University, Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Magid was Chairman of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo, ND. He is Board Certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. This means he has fulfilled the necessary criteria established by the regulating board and has passed examinations that accredit him in this field. Dr. Magid is also a fellow in the American College of Forensic Dentistry and is a member of the American Dental Association, American Society of Dental Anesthesia, and American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Magid has been awarded the “Best of Bedside Manner” in Virginia’s Our Health Magazine for two years in a row. |
